CROWNBRAID

I really really hate internet bullying.
There are people who struggle and create and then there are so many people who do nothing but sit on their as all day and pour their hatred and negativity at these creative people. Or when the internet gags up together to super-bully someone. Like that Rebecka Black girl for instance. Why does youtube even have a dislike button?
Just in order for some people to have a laugh it's ok to mentally break down others.
Or when someone struggles for years to make it and then when they do everyone screams that they got famous over night and that their parents are rich and that they don't deserve it.

I love everything about Lana Del Rey. But all the bullying towards her and harsh words is making me really sad. I feel worried when people get this hunger towards killing what others create. To do everything in their power to make them feel fake and useless.
I know I have the kindest most wonderful followers, but I still have to write; don't ever bully through the internet. Don't bully in real life either for that matter... but you know what I mean.

  1. there are a lot of people i can't stand - what they do creatively, their opinions, or their personalities. but i try really hard to never, EVER attack unless what they're doing is actually hurting others.

    it's difficult, but important.

i think rebecca black's song is ridiculous, and i've laughed at it a lot of times. but i would never dream of trying to put her down because of that. it's a whole different approach that i can't really relate to. and it's a dangerous one, too.

    1. Well yeah, I've laughed at Rebeckas song too, but I wouldn't comment anything mean about it. There are people who write that both she and her family should die... I mean.... come on. I guess there are some people that don't get to express their opinion in their life so they pour it out on the internet instead.

  2. You're right, this is sad. I hope this thought wasn't caused by someone bullying you

    1. No Joule, I haven't been bullied for a while... there were some bitter ones commenting a few years ago I think... but they left :) Now I just have nice ones commenting :) My dad claims that due to all the nice comments on my blog, I don't really evolve. But I would claim the opposite. If my readers told me that what I did was bad and that I sucked I would probably stop creating. I know that I'm super sensitive so if people were mean on the blog I would stop posting very quickly. I think it's strange that some claim that if you post your life online - you have to accept that you have to handle the crap coming at you. I don't see why one would have to accept that. Manners on the internet has not yet appeared.

  3. I love Lana Del Rey too! I don't understand all of the criticism.

I never really thought of the "dislike" button on Youtube before, but you're definitely right. A "like" button by itself should be good enough! Youtube is a really hostile place in general though. I've found Blogger to be much more friendly and encouraging.

    1. Yes I agree, blogger is much friendlier than youtube. Youtube if filled with really angry people!
And yeah, Lana Del Rey IS great! The fact that she said that she might stop singing (due to all the crap she's had to hear) is just terrible. I hope she'll stay strong. But I can imagine that ones spark and love for music would fade when it becomes a hostile place.

  5. Thank you for this thought-provoking post. I'm always disgusted when I see all the hateful comments and dislikes on Youtube. It reflects sadly on society when people think that by hiding their faces behind usernames it somehow makes saying hateful things alright.

Lana Del Rey is a gem of an artist, it pains me to think that people can be so cruel to someone so inspiring and talented. I hope she keeps singing for a long time to come.

    (Beautiful braid by the way!)

  6. I do hate internet bullying too. I think it's one of the meanest thing people would ever do. And sadly, they always hiding behind those fake names while mocking others. I adore Lana Del Rey too!! Her sisters whom also is her personal photographer makes me adore her even more, such a perfect pair of sisters. :)
Bottomline is I think "Haters always gonna hate"

p s : loving your pics as usual, the braid looks amazing!

    1. Ah, I didn't know about Lanas sister! But I did notice that she had a big photo gallery behind her image. That's so great, to have a photographer in the family who can document your life :)

  8. I guess the point is that people who blubber a lot either envy all those creative guys or they're just trying to express their aggressiveness through Internet while they are not able to do that live. Important is not to let this into you, not to absorb it (in case if the criticism is non-objective and unacceptable).
I've experienced it when I was trying to post my pictures at a Russian website and a woman started following me in a very sarcastic way saying I know nothing about photography and my ideas are not ideas at all and how I dare and stuff. At first I was very much upset and I was -WHAT?! HOW COME?!- she didn't even know me! But than I just thought about those people who supported me and told me I have something for photography and I should go on no matter what other freaks are saying.
Bullying is really mean and disgusting.

    1. Yes, it's really mean. Good that you decided not to care about what that woman thought. I guess un-creative people get kinda mad at themselves for not being creative and then let that aggression out towards the poor people trying to make something. It's surprising that they can't see it themselves. I have bloggers that I can say annoying things about to my friends, but then afterwards I often just yell "Oooh my god I KNOW I'M JUST JELOUS!". Ok, there are times when I'm not jealous too, but I would never bully those people. I mean, I was a poor illustrator and a poor photographer for a long time! Would I have kept going if people told me I was crap over and over at that stage when I was young and just starting to explore the arts? Probably not.

  10. I typed in the name of a blog on google a few days ago and when i clicked on one of the links, it was different website instead (i can't remember the name of it and i don't care to anyways) where people bash on other blogs and websites. The blog I was searching for is one i really like and there were some photos from her blog that were uploaded onto the site and there were all these other girls bashing on her blog and it depressed me! I love her blog and everything about her!! Sometimes I'm jealous of someones blog because i love it so much but Im happy for them for being successful because i know they work at it! And yes there are some blogs that i don't like as much because its not my style so i simply don't follow those one! I would never bash on other bloggers! That's just wrong and i don't know why people feel like they have to, especially if they're blogger themselves! Sometimes, this world we live in confuses me.
