Farmer foxes edited

Ok, so I kept sketching more on this one, because the last posted version just didn't cut it. I like it much better now. More lines usually helps the illustration :)

  1. oh, it actually looks nicer now, although i liked the first version as well! :)
may i ask what kind of school/higher education you did/are doing? you're such a talented and versatile artist - thanks for sharing!

  2. Thank you miss french! After high school I studied photography for two years (Lofoten folkhøgskole in Norway) and at the moment I am studying Industrial design (Ingvar Kamrads designcentrum in Sweden). Heh, however, the designeducation is mostly killing my esthetic views... I don't feel that the education matches my view of design.
I would really like to educate myself more in drawing... but sometimes I think that the lack of correct drawing technique is what makes my illustrations :)

  3. that's why i've always been 'scared' of studying photography. i'm afraid that too much of the theory would change my view of what 'beauty' can be. however, i think your drawings are perfect like that! you should illustrate a children's book - if you haven't already :)

  4. Hm, I think that totally depends on what kind of school you go to. If it is an art photography university then your view of beauty would definitely be ruined (that's what I personally think), but if you go to a school like I went to...were you simply learn the basics of photography and get to meet a lot of photographers who work with different things, then you'll only be enriched! But I do think that a lot of people who study journalism, studio or art photography all graduate doing the exact same thing as their schoolmates. The education kind of leads the students into the same path, that's so stupid and that's sometimes what I feel our teachers at design are doing :(
But I'm staying true to my style, there are to many sterile designers out there already, they don't need another one!

  8. well i dont know about that.. you can still keep your style and continue developing it!

and about the image, i think its a step sideways. detailwise, its much better. but compositionwise - I like the old one better. :)
